NHWC Announces 2008 Advertising Policy
The National Hydrologic Warning Council enacted its 2008 Advertising Policy for its newsletters and webpage. "We have been approached by many who have wanted to establish their presence on the NHWC newsletters and webpage", said Brian McCallum, Vice President of NHWC, "but the NHWC board of directors needed to put some thought into this policy to ensure that it was fair and comparable to other organizations of our size." It was also a concern of the Board of Directors that the desire to provide this avenue for advertisers did not take away from the overall goal of these publications--namely to provide an informational and educational service to members of NHWC and the general hydrologic warning community. A separate policy for advertising in the upcoming 2009 Vail NHWC conference materials will be determined in the upcoming months.
