TRAINING & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
17th Annual NHWC Texas Workshop

October 28th - 29th, 2026
Optional Training Add-On October 27th

Embassy Suites, San Marcos, Texas

This 2-day interactive workshop will focus on developing skills and experience related to installing, repairing, and maintaining flood warning systems. Learn about maintaining tipping buckets, calibrating stage sensors, new technologies in the hydrologic warning industry, and more! We encourage both system operators and maintainers to attend this workshop to get a better understanding of what it takes to run a flood warning system.

This workshop will also be a chance to meet other system operators from across the region. Learn about how other systems work and share your experience with your neighbors. Flooding in this region impacts all of us, but storms often occur in one area. The connections made at these workshops can help provide names and contacts of who to call if you have questions, concerns, or a need for assistance before, during, and after a flood event.

New this year: The National Hydrologic Warning Council is excited to offer a one-day, hands-on training seminar focused on flood warning sensors. This optional add-on session will take place on October 27th, ahead of the main workshop, and requires separate registration (available on our registration website alongside the Workshop + Day of Training option). As we explore interest in this new offering, we invite attendees to take a deeper dive into the sensors that power hydrologic warning systems.

Please note that the extra day of training requires additional registration!
